There will be keynote speeches from Jim Knight MP, Minister of State for Schools and Learners, and TUC General Secretary Brendan Barber.
More than just the basics A panel debate featuring Billy Hayes, General Secretary of CWU; Mary Bousted, General Secretary of ATL and Dinah Caine from audio-visual industry sector skills council Skillset.
Union innovations James Rees from USDAW and Christine Payne, Equity's General Secretary, will explain the innovative ways their unions are using learning and skills. We'll also hear from the RCN, one of Unions 21's newest supporters.
Do unions care about skills? Liz Smith, Director of Unionlearn, Michael Leahy, General Secretary of Community and Professor Mark Stuart from Leeds Business School debate the issues and you can join in too!
Plus...The PFA: we care about skills The PFA Chair and ex-England player Chris Powell will speak at Unions 21’s conference. He will be joined by fellow PFA members Alex Dyer and Scott Minto. Chaired by Steve Sinnott, NUT General Secretary.
