Unions 21 are delighted to announce the appointment of Dan Whittle as the new Director, Unions 21 with effect from 1 September 2008.
Dan joins us from the parliamentary office of Anne Snelgrove MP where he received the Labour Researcher of the Year award for his work following the collapse of Farepak. Dan is also an elected member of the Young Fabians Executive, the co-operative party youth committee representing London, and the Chair of the parliamentary branch of Unite, the Union. He was a parliamentary candidate in the last general election.
Dan succeeds Matt Ball who has taken up a role as Senior Officer - Research, Communications and PR at Community, the union for Life. Under the period of Matt’s directorship the activity of Unions 21 has grown significantly and everyone at Unions 21 wishes him well in his new role. We are also pleased to note that Matt will remain involved in the future success of Unions 21 as he is joining the steering committee as Community’s representative.
Congratulations
Well done Dan, we look forward to seeing some great campaigns launched by Union 21 and setting the scene for modern industrial relations.
